OSU jumped the shark, but there was a gator sunbathing on the ski ramp when we landed . I am reminded of the movie "Gator Bait," because most people laugh at the movie and do not take it seriously. Unfortunately, OSU is headed in that direction and Mark May has a shit eating grin on his face these days. The good news is this year's team is young and has the ability to make amends this year and next, if they ignore the critics and get to work.

Hopefully, OSU will continue to improve throughout the year. This is a very young team and has the potential to be a very good team next year. Of course this will largely hinge on the development of Pryor or his replacement at quarterback. Many have suggested that OSU actively recruit a quarterback in the off season, and transition Pryor to a wide receiver and use him occasionally in a wild cat-type offense. Many have suggested that the problem is a combination of Tressel and Pryor.

Many in Buckeye land are also extremely critical of the inability of Tressel and his staff to coach the offensive line - we continually get the top recruits and many go on to have great success in the pros. So, there seems to a problem in that Tressel wants to groom a pocket passer, but it is difficult when the pass protection is not there. One commentator (I believe Chris Spielman) suggested the offensive line is a bunch of matadors that wave the scarlet blanket and step aside as the bulls rush to the quarterback - Ole!
